3 phone apps I can’t live without.

When it comes to making my life easier, i’ll take anything I can find. Anything that saves time, reduces admin, and generally makes things less hassle has got my vote. The only trouble is, when it comes to apps, there are just so many to choose from!

Penfold - a modern Pension app

Honestly, up until a year ago I had no idea how to access to my pensions, let alone know how much I had saved or how to manage or invest them. When I heard about Penfold I thought I probably didn’t need another app but I’d take a look anyway. They made it so easy to set up (honestly when I say 5 mins, I mean 5 mins) and it pushed me to login in to all my other pensions (which were with 4 different companies) and move them into one place.

I can now see everything I’m saving every month on my phone, meaning I’m a lot more in touch with my long term saving goals and feeling more like a grown up everytime I look at :)

5 Minute Journal - Digital Gratitude App

I’ve been considering buying the 5 minute journal for a while but at £25 I’ve been going back and forth on it, until I found that they have a free app?!

Every day at 8am and 8pm I get a little ding ding asking me what I am grateful for and what happened today that was amazing? I must say, if someone had told me about an app that prompts me twice a day to write about how I’m feeling I probably wouldn’t be that keen but believe me, I’m hooked!

Oh and i’ll be buying the actual journal this weekend!

Canva - Content Creation App

I’m sure if you’re reading this then you will be familiar with Canva and all it’s delightfulness, but I couldn’t write this post without mentioning it.

I use it to create all my graphics and images for my website and for my marketing channels like instagram, facebook, pinterest and my newsletter emails. Having the app on my phone means I can access and save all my designs on the go - which is pretty often as I always seem to remember small changes when I’m away from my desk.

I also plan to use it for presentations and course material this year (you heard it here first!) as it allows you to present and record straight from the app.

They have now also launched a desktop app, which I have added to my dock/desktop and opens as soon as log on - win win if you ask me.

If you have any app recommendations that you can’t live without, please share as I’m always in the market for a new nifty shortcut to winning at life!
